I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY LOVE
DENSHA OTOKO[0] TO BITS. I'm a total sucker for the storyline, especially how his online friends help him ask out a girl and solve all his problems for him.
I ask you guys for help sometimes too~! So I can relate to that! It's based on a real life happening, but a little exaggerated. Putting that aside, I just went to Kinokuniya lately, and saw THREE DIFFERENT VERSIONS OF DENSHA OTOKO MANGA. Like, WOW.
Ito Atsushi (伊藤淳史) plays Yamada Tsuyoshi brilliantly. Yamada, being you average Otaku whose room is filled with posters, figurines and all things Otaku-ish, and Aoyama Saori, played by Ito Misaki (伊東美咲,), pretty and rich woman. Yamada saves her in the train from a drunk man by mustering his courage and shouting (well, kinda soft but...good try, shy otaku-man!) for him to stop. After getting off, Aoyama asks him for his address. Immediately after reaching home, he goes online to a forum 'Single Men's Rant Thread
[1]' and posts about saving someone from a drunk man, and all the details he could. Everyone starts replying, saying that since she asked for his address, SURELY she would send him something.
She does, a pair of teacups from Hermes, and on it was her handphone number. It took Yamada so much courage and support from his online friends to finally be able to call her... And the story goes on from there.
( Spoilers, close your eyes. I need to rant. )Welcome
